Our pet food factory in Zanesville is favorably located along the banks of the Muskingum River in scenic east-central Ohio halfway between Columbus and Wheeling, West Virginia. This 100-year-old facility was acquired by Nestlé Purina in 1987 and has since evolved to incorporate our innovative portfolio of products, processes, and technical equipment. Zanesville is the only Nestlé Purina location that produces Moist & Meaty® and Dog Chow Soft Bites for all of the United States and Canada—packaged and shipped with the utmost quality and nutrition. 

 

As the Processing Operator, you will assist in the production and monitoring of day-to-day activities in processing areas wet and dry, which will include batching, troubleshooting, changeovers, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on equipment.

 

 Primary Responsibilities

 

Use first in/first expired by date rotation of raw ingredients and accurate documentation of batch codes and lot numbers of ingredients being used

Meets all Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental requirements when performing job duties

Preform and document all applicable housekeeping standards.

Preform changeover setup for product runs.

Work with a safety mindset and follow SOP guidelines during operation of the equipment

Operate and maintain fork truck /power dolly certification

Complete start-up and shutdown checklist of processing equipment

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 

 

Basic Requirements

 

High School Diploma/GED

 

Preferred

 

1+ year of manufacturing experience
