An exciting opportunity has become available for a Process Engineer to join our Gympie Factory on a 12-month maternity leave contract. This is your chance to play a key role in improving manufacturing performance, leading technical projects, and driving continuous improvement within one of Australia's most trusted food manufacturing environments.
Based at our Gympie site, you will work alongside passionate teams across Engineering, Production, Quality, and Safety, helping to deliver operational excellence while supporting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
A Day in the life…
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Apply engineering expertise to solve complex technical challenges and reduce downtime.
• Manage and deliver capital and process improvement projects from concept through to implementation.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing outcomes.
• Support new product industrialisation and process optimisation activities.
• Champion safety, quality, environmental sustainability, and compliance across the site.
• Coach and develop operators and technicians while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Are you a fit?
• Degree qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Process, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience (at least 3-5 years) in process engineering preferably within a similar production and/or manufacturing environment
• Project management and continuous improvement capability.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• A collaborative approach with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Passion for safety, quality, innovation, and operational excellence
