As a Brand Marketing Associate in the Expansion Desk, you support the longer-term growth of the RTD Business Unit (2+ years) by focusing on identifying new brand/category whitespace, executing strong innovation plans, and leading cross-functional teams. This role partners closely across functions to assist in building strong innovation plans and subsequently seeing those plans through to market. Candidates should have passion, not only for front-end innovation, but for operationalizing strong product propositions. A strong candidate will display initiative, approach situations with curiosity, and keep the consumer at the forefront of their work. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Brand Marketing.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Consumer & Marketplace Intimacy:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the demographics, psychographics, occasions, path to purchase, and behavioral drivers of consumers through data and research.
  • Analyze competitor activities and consumer behavior.
  • Leverage data and trends to generate insights and transform them into marketing innovation, brand building (communications), retail programs, and internal sell stories.
  • Develop and manage new products from inception to launch, ensuring new product launch plans are established and in place for launch. Continue to manage these platforms after launch.

 

Brand & Budget Management:

  • Work on end-to-end brand projects and assignments in a way that demonstrates an understanding of key consumer insights and an ability to activate them in a relevant and innovative strategy, aligning with the 3-year strategic plan
  • Track and allocate resources effectively with an understanding of marketing ROI and financial performance

 

Commercial Excellence:

  • Partner with Sales and Customers to execute strategy and win the sale in an omni-channel environment; understand how to maximize the business at retail and collaborate to execute.
  • Analyze promotional programs to maximize effectiveness/efficiency and make ongoing recommendations for improvement/investment.
  • Translate the 3-year strategic plan into an annual commercial plan to drive sales and marketing tactics through retailer channels and partners. Ensure solutions are differentiated, creating brand value and influencing purchase behavior.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) in Marketing or related business field; or equivalent experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • A bias for action.
  • Knowledge of budget control methods, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong research and strategic analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently, autonomously, and adapt quickly to change to deliver results.
  • Must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Basic financial acumen and understanding of calculating risk/return on business decisions.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

 

CRITICAL EXPERIENCES

  • At least 1-2 years of work experience in product or brand management.
  • Demonstrated ability and initiative to drive cross-functional teams to deliver on collective brand goals.
  • Experience with developing strategic plans to utilize consumer market analytics for brand growth

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $105,000- $135,000.  Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
