Position Summary:
The Coffee and Beverage categories are one of the most dynamic and fastest growing in retail. Consumers’ and shoppers’ love affair with these products means they are looking for leading brands to elevate their daily rituals and to help them explore and discover new things. As the Director of Brand Development and Expansion, you will be responsible for leading a team of marketers to drive brand growth for the Liquid Enhancers portfolio. This role will leverage category expertise to build the pipeline of innovation to incorporate into the Market Business Strategy. In addition, the role will be focused on new brand / category whitespace, business models, M&A, and technologies that will accelerate growth for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Consumer & Customer Intimacy:
- Leverage a deep understanding of the demographics, psychographics, occasions, path to purchase, and behavioral drivers of the brand’s consumer to prioritize growth opportunities and define long-term strategy
- Transform insights into marketing innovation, brand building and retail programs through cross-functional teams and partnerships across the organization
Innovation & Renovation:
- Own I&R pipeline development based on key consumer, shopper, and marketplace data.
- Lead end-to-end brand projects and assignments, demonstrating an understanding of key consumer insights and an ability to activate them in relevant strategy and innovation activities.
- Support team in creating the "go-to-market" plan for new products and integrating such propositions into long-term strategies and category roadmaps.
Commercial Excellence:
- Lead the development of business plans and commercialization for new product opportunities in collaboration with a diverse cross-functional team.
- Work with finance and cross-functional teams to ensure financial targets and growth objectives are met.
Talent Management:
- Lead by example to motivate and inspire direct reports and cross-functional teams supporting the brand to exceed high-performance targets.
- Actively communicate expectations and provide regular feedback against those expectations through a robust performance management process.
Qualifications:
- University Degree (BA/BS) in Marketing or related business field; MBA preferred.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in product or brand management, with demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teams to deliver on collective brand goals.
- Extensive people leadership experience within Marketing and with cross functional teams
