COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Position overview
We are looking for a new Commercial Development Specialist reporting directly to a Business Development Manager.

As a Commercial Development specialist, you will support the business to lead and develop the category to deliver long-term category growth and profitably increase market shares. A day in the life of a Commercial Development Specialist
- execute the yearly strategic plan and contribute to tailored category plans aligned with market strategy;
- translate category and shopper strategy into customer plans and support their implementation at retailer level;
- ensure strong in-store execution, including visibility, POSM and shelf optimization through planograms;
- build, adapt and execute promotional plans based on shopper insights and customer needs;
- turn shopper and consumer insights into actionable in-store solutions with Sales and Marketing;
- conduct pre- and post-evaluation of promotions and trade investments and recommend improvements;
- coordinate external sales partners to ensure perfect execution in store.
As CDT you report to the Business Development Manager and you are part of the Belgian Cereals team (CPW) based in our office in Brussels.
What will make you successful
- you have a first sales or marketing experience where you have demonstrated commercial acumen;
- you are comfortable with complexity and multi-tasking;
- ability to work with multiple stakeholders and to manage various projects/deadlines/tasks at the same time;
- you are pragmatic with get things done attitude (entrepreneurial mindset);
- You have a strong personal drive with a positive can-do attitude;
- you have good communication skills (incl language skills: English, French and/or Dutch are a must).
