Title: Nutrition and Scientific Affairs Manager 12 month Fixed Term
Location: Gatwick

Salary Circa £55,000, depending on experience and qualifications

Join Nestlé Nutrition as a Nutrition and Scientific Affairs Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical and scientific direction of our SMA  portfolio. You will champion evidence‑based nutrition, strengthen external engagement, and empower internal teams with high‑quality medical expertise.

Your impact

 

 

Drive strategic medical leadership by building strong partnerships with leading UK&I paediatricians and shaping annual business plans. Bringing deep scientific and clinical expertise to support our portfolio, represent Nestlé at key medical congresses, and deliver high‑quality educational and scientific presentations. Strengthen internal capabilities through training, support medical information excellence, and uphold rigorous compliance standards.

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Serve as the internal technical expert, delivering essential nutritional and dietetic training to empower our sales teams and enhance customer engagement.
  • Ensure our medical communications align with the SMA strategic plan, driving impactful website content informed by the latest clinical practice and key stakeholder insights.
  • Build strong partnerships with key healthcare professionals, driving advocacy and enhancing scientific credibility across the UK & Ireland.
  • Ensures the alignment of marketing materials to current clinical nutritional/dietetic knowledge and good practice. To provide a high quality level of nutritional/dietetic support to the business.
  • To act as an internal technical expert to support key stakeholder interactions including relevant nutritional/dietetic training for sales force and customer engagement.
  • Develop and present product and scientific updates on topics relevant to SMA portfolio upon request utilizing the approved material.
  • Contribute to clinical research activities, from protocol design to feasibility assessments, helping advance innovation and improve patient outcomes.

Ensure all medical communications and digital platforms— including the SMA website—reflect the latest clinical practice, guidelines, and strategic priorities.

  • Represent Nestlé at leading medical and scientific events, staying ahead of emerging data and supporting informed conversations with healthcare providers
  • Ensuring 100% Medical Compliance to the organizational SOPs

 

 

 

 

Your ingredients for success 

 

You will have worked in a similar role working  closely with scientific data to extract the relevant material for the business is essential. You will have the ability to build effective working relationships across various functions and markets are key; along with the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.

 

 

You will also:-

 

  • Experience of working in a clinical setting or close collaboration with clinical units for business development.
  • Scientific or dietetic background with expertise in paediatrics or clinical nutrition.
  • Confident communicator who can simplify science and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A passion for improving patient outcomes through high‑quality, evidence‑based nutrition.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
