Associate General Counsel - Functional Excellence

Main Purpose of the Job:

Provide strategic legal counsel and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, enabling functional excellence and risk mitigation across Nestlé’s operations.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Deliver timely and accurate legal advice on corporate and functional matters to Trade, Supply chain, Finance, HR and Factories across all relevant laws that impact them on day to day and operation basis                
2. Key legal advisor to support strategic decisions and resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables in a simple manner                
3. Ensure compliance with Nestlé Corporate Business Principles and local regulations                
4. Advise, Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and governance documents                
5. Drive legal risk management and implement best practices
6. Contribute in legal advocacy, public policy work for support of laws that supports functions                
7. Interpret and develop a range of policies and procedures for functions with moderate to higher complexity and risk
8. Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development
9. Support cross-functional projects with legal expertise
10. Awareness and connect with industry leaders, regulators and advisors in different areas of expertise
11. Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Skills and experience required for the role:

1. 8-10 years of corporate legal experience in FMCG/Other industries
2. Exposure to multi-jurisdictional compliance
3. Proven track record in contract negotiation, litigation management & IT Data Privacy

Education Qualifications: Full Time Degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent) from a reputed institute
Masters in Law preferred
