Position Summary
We are looking for a Category Commercial Development Manager, to be responsible for leveraging all commercial drivers to grow our confectionery category and brands. You will develop channel-specific commercial strategies and conduct shopper analysis for the relevant channel.
A Day in the Life of a Category Commercial Development Manager
- Support the DCG (Delivering Category Growth) process by providing analytical support and conducting customer visits
- Drives customer planning in order to leverage all commercial opportunities
- Ensure optimal commercial execution across all channels via building effective channel/customer category growth strategies
- Develop shopper insights for the category and initiate shopper studies with the central team’s support
- Analyze shopper studies and provide recommendations based on buying decisions within the store
- Provide input on product assortment, planograms, pricing strategy, and sales folders
- Create awareness in Marketing & Sales to include shopper insights in their work
- Develop channel intelligence and analyze data in relation to central team information
What will make you successful
- University degree in marketing, management, public administration or equivalent
- First proven experience in category management, trade marketing, or sales
- Foundational experience in category expertise, preferably in retail is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
- Conceptual and strategic thinking abilities
- Collaborative personality with executional drive
- Convincing and winning personality capable of fostering customer relationships
- Proficiency in both German and English; French is a plus
