Position Summary

For our Nestlé Business Services, we are currently looking for a Brand Identity and Packaging Designer. Reporting to the Design Adaption Team Lead, this professional will be responsible for supporting the Brand teams in adapting and/or commissioning Brand Identity assets and Packaging Design based on aligned guidance from the Strategic Design Agency and/or internal standards. Responsible for creating and delivering adaptative design projects to support the rollout of the new identity and/or packaging updates, guaranteeing design consistency across touchpoints, with a particular focus on packaging. Guided by established guidance, responsible for delivering packaging concept development (2D or 3D), or identity or packaging deployment adaptation. The Designer works independently yet collaborates with other designers and other to receive design briefs and brand understanding. When required, the role may involve interaction with Brand Guardians, R&D, Marketing, and/or Strategic Design or Artwork/Prepress Agencies when further guidance or input is needed.


 A day in the life of... 

  • Executes design activities as part of the brand identities guardianship and packaging design systems deployment across diverse markets. 
  • Based on Brand Guidelines, produces high-quality crafted and visually compelling packaging digital mockups to showcase and evaluate product concepts and guideline applications to allow stakeholders to visualize the final product.
  • Supports Brand teams and other stakeholders in executing brand guidelines through Nestlé's internal online portals or PDF (InDesign) documents, helping the team to visualize and apply the guidelines across various touchpoints.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand the brief objectives, ensuring the correct execution of adaptative/concepts packaging projects, as well as adhering to established brand guidelines.
  • Ensures that all work product adheres to Nestlé Design Global Ways of Working, including the use of all digital tools (D2D, Frontify, DAM), and collaborates with other IMS teams for tagging of masterfiles and URDs.
  • Collaborate with the D2D Team when uploading the adapted Masterfiles in ContentHub, allowing the team to continue the workflow process inside the tool.
  • Contributes to Global Color Management ambitions to reduce complexity while improving consistency and quality.

What will make you successful

 4+ years experience in brand identity, with minimum 2+ years packaging design.
• Proficient in brand identity maintanance and packaging design, demonstrated through a portfolio showcasing excellent graphic design skills.
• Highly proficient in Adobe CC, and comfortable with workflows and digital asset management systems.
Nice to have: able to create 3D pack visuals and produce 3D renders for design development.
• Packaging Design Portfolio showcasing both packaging renders and design execution.
• Experience in ensuring the application of brand standards across different brand's materials — packaging, logo, colors, typography etc.
• Able to navigate across different brands while maintaining a deep understanding of their unique behaviors and characteristics.
• Experience in applying brand guidelines in Packaging Adaptation projects.
• Keen Eye for detail and takes delight in driving design consistency.
• At minimum Bachelor’s degree preferred in Design, Graphic Design, Communications Design or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Clear communication skills with excellent response times
• Team and results-oriented attitude where work is approached with empathy, enthusiasm, ownership, responsibility, adaptability, balance and resilience
• Interested or ideally experience in co-piloting with AI to support design development.

Portfolio Requirements – Nice to have:

  • Portfolio with examples of your 2D/3D conceptual packaging work and flat artworks that demonstrate how you visually develop ideas, with brief explanation of the projects, creative process, the reasons behind design choices, and the candidate specific role as a packaging designer in each project, for example.
