What to Expect: 
You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective media strategies that drive performance and deliver quantifiable results. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that marketing efforts align with the company’s objectives and that resources are used efficiently to improve impact. This role involves leveraging digital media channels to drive measurable outcomes, such as clicks, conversions, and sales. The focus is on optimizing campaigns to achieve the highest return on investment (ROI) through strategic use of pay-per-performance tactics, including pay-per-click (PPC), cost-per-acquisition (CPA), and cost-per-thousand-impressions (CPM) models. By mastering these techniques, the role ensures that every dollar spent on digital advertising yields tangible results, aligning closely with the goals of performance media.

 

A day in the life:

  • Campaign Strategy and Execution: Develop comprehensive media strategies tailored to specific business goals. Plan, launch, and run campaigns across various digital platforms, including both direct-to-consumer platforms and key e-retailers such as Amazon.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze campaign performance using analytics tools. Generate detailed reports to track key performance indicators and provide actionable insights for optimization.
  • Budget Management: Effectively allocate and handle budgets to ensure efficient spending and achieve the highest possible return on investment. Regularly review budget utilization and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Optimization and Testing: Continuously test and optimize campaigns to improve performance. Apply A/B testing, audience segmentation, and other techniques to refine targeting and messaging.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and creative departments. Communicate campaign results and insights to partners and senior management. Additionally, manage two direct reports.
  • Market Research and Trend Analysis: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, competitive landscape, and new technologies. Conduct regular market research to advise and adjust media strategies.
  • Performance Tools and Platforms: Apply and manage various digital marketing tools and platforms like Google Analytics, AdWords, Facebook Ads Manager, and others. Expert knowledge of different platform and media ecosystems is fundamental.

 

Role Requirements

  • Proficiency in both English and French is essential for this role, as it involves working closely with collaborators throughout the Canadian market and/or globally.
  • 5 – 10 years of proven experience in Media Performance
  • Strong ability to analyse data, interpret trends, and derive actionable insights. Proficiency in using analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Power BI) and platforms.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and familiarity with digital marketing tools, platforms, and technologies. Proficiency in leading campaigns across various channels and e-retailers.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Flexibility to adjust strategies based on evolving market conditions and performance data. Willingness to adopt new challenges and learn continuously.
  • Ability to run multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Capability to develop and implement strategies that align with business objectives and drive measurable results.
