Position Summary

 

We are looking for a Marketing Product Lead within the B2C Marketing team to join Nespresso Canada in Montreal. Reporting to the Coffee & Accessory Product Manager, this role will lead the development and execution of the accessory category strategy, driving portfolio growth, innovation, strategic partnerships, as well as local collaborations and project development, aligned with brand and business goals.

As part of this role, you will act as the key representative of the category, playing a critical role in influencing global stakeholders and shaping the category roadmap for the Canadian market. We are looking for someone who can combine creativity with data to drive results.

In addition, the role includes dotted-line management responsibilities for a shared Coordinator resource. You will provide coaching, day-to-day direction, ensure priorities are aligned, and support the effective execution and delivery of projects across the team. Note: This position is an existing vacancy.

 

A day in the life of a Marketing Category Lead - Accessories:

 

As an Accessory product Marketing Lead, you will play a key leadership role across product, project, and portfolio management, working in doted line management with the product team coordinator and cross-functionally to deliver impactful initiatives and drive business performance.

 

Strategic Product Management

 

Launch Excellence: Develop and execute powerful launch plans and promotional strategies if needed for new products, defining the optimal offer, pricing, and go-to-market approach for the market.

  • Identify and size new product and market opportunities, and drive decision making for project development
  • Represent Canadian market needs to global stakeholders
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ensuring code creation and pricing strategies to SKU rationalization and adapting products to meet local regulations.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales and customer data, market trends, and campaign effectiveness to provide actionable insights and identify growth opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with commercial, supply chain, and activation teams to ensure flawless execution, accurate forecasting, and best-in-class online and offline presence.
  • Ability to manage different product segments ( cups, food, milk devices)
  • Understand the trends of the category
  • Maintain a product road map focusing on our business objectives and meeting the need of our customers.

 

Project Management

 

Lead complex cross-functional projects

  • Manage timelines, stakeholders and execution
  • Drive visibility and customer journey improvements
  • Develop local innovation initiatives and potential partnerships and collaborations.

 

Budget Management

 

Manage and monitor budgets

  • Oversee purchasing and invoicing
  • Optimize investments and ROI

 

Team Management (dotted-line management)

 

Within your role, you will collaborate closely on a day-to-day basis with the team coordinator, who supports both accessory and coffee-related topics depending on business priorities. This represents a strong opportunity to further develop your leadership and coaching skills. You hold dotted-line management responsibility for the coordinator in this context. You provide clear prioritization, mentorship, and daily guidance on operational tasks related to your key projects. You will play a key role in providing direction, feedback, and support, while fostering effective collaboration and strong execution with the coordinator.

 

What will make you successful?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in marketing, with exposure to product or portfolio management preferably in fashion, luxury home decor or cosmetic premium/luxury environmentshp
  • Ability to prioritize while not losing sight of the bigger picture
  • End user obsession, consumer-first mindset
  • Bilingualism in English and French is required, as this role involves collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market and globally
