POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The primary objective of the Specialist Media Planning role is to strategically explore new and creative avenues to drive business growth by identifying opportunities and actively participating in the planning and execution process. The individual in this role will demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, generate innovative solutions, and maintain a professional approach in all internal and external communications. They will also collaborate with media agencies (both digital and traditional) to ensure the implementation of best practices across the entire customer journey, continuously evolving campaigns to drive optimal business performance.

 

RESPONSIBLITIES:

 

Media Planning & Activation:

  • Collaborate with Sr. Manager to ensure both Paid Media strategy and go-to-market execution across traditional, digital, and new/emerging channels is executed with an eye towards driving growth meeting brand and business goals
  • Collaborate closely with Performance Media and other Marketing teams (CRM, Product, Brand Comms) to execute holistic, full-funnel marketing campaign that maximizes ROI of media budget and investments against a variety of business goals
  • Collaborate with Nespresso HQ counterparts to ensure US market interests and realities are recognized, with an eye towards integration of HQ shared processes, technologies, and ways of working that benefit the market
  • Utilize knowledge of media landscape and activations to act as a consultant on behalf of other internal teams (Trade, B2B, Retail, etc.) looking to engage in paid media activities

 

Agency & Partner Management:

  • Assist in maintaining a strong relationship with both Traditional media agency (Open Mind) and Digital media agency (TBD), ensuring achievement of all deliverables, quality of resources and overall relationship health
  • Serve as secondary point of contact for media partners (networks, publications, online platforms, and publishers) and work closely with a broader team to manage key social/digital partners (Google, Meta, etc.)
  • Stay up to date on media landscape, constantly seek out innovative partners/platforms to identify new opportunities
  • Execute and validate learning agendas for media channels, including creative performance and recommended asset optimizations. Disseminate learnings to the broader organization on a regular cadence

 

 

Audience Development & Marketing Technology Integration:

  • Assist with Audience Planning and Customer Journey building via a variety of technology & agency partners including multi-touch attribution
  • Contribute to audience development strategies and optimal audience management, leveraging both first- and third-party data to ensure the right message is matched to the right consumer at the right time
  • Partner closely with Analytics team to collect/review data from a variety of sources, glean insights and implement relevant learnings to optimize campaigns, creative and overall media performance
  • Create a media roadmap based on opportunities presented by new audience & marketing technologies

 

Measurement & Reporting:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day Brand Media budget, understanding budgets may shift and are approved at a VP/CEO level
  • Assist the monthly DF process for media budgets, ensuring accuracy of phasing and spend
  • Work with Analytics teams (internal and agency) to assess campaign effectiveness, identify opportunities for optimization, and provide holistic reporting on media efficiency and effectiveness to senior management

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ Years in Media Strategy / Planning roles at Brand or Agency
  • Experience in CPG / DTC media and marketing preferred; experience with luxury goods and/or sustainable brands is a plus
  • Expertise in implementing full-funnel digital media strategies to effectively acheive brand and business objectives across both online and offline channels
  • Proficiency in comprehensive media planning and execution encompassing both online and offline channels throughout the entire customer journey
  • Familiarity with digital & programmatic media ecosystem, data providers, digital media tools and systems (DSPs, DMPs, Ad Servers, etc.)

 

SKILLS:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Strategic thinker understanding both short- and long-term business consequences of all decisions
  • Ability to oversee and track multiple projects with due dates and varying requirements and priorities

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $85,000- $95,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
