Position Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Marketing Manager based at our North York office. This role will be responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing plans for our Multicultural portfolio consisting of the brands CERELAC and NIDO. This is a high-growth portfolio within the Nutrition & Health BU and is a critical part of shaping the future of Nutrition in Canada.
A day in the life of an Assistant Marketing Manager
As an Assistant Marketing Manager, you will dive deep into the consumer target and develop market plans to continue to drive growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop strategic recommendations, drive product launches, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, all while deepening your expertise in brand building.
You will:
• Leverage brand, consumer, and marketplace data to recommend marketing strategies, and activities for the 18-Month Brand Plan (aligned with 3 Year Brand Roadmap and learnings from previous years)
• Lead the end-to-end execution of Innovation & Renovation projects collaborating on activities including research, volume forecasting, pricing strategy, packaging & product development, as well as launch presentations, sales kits and samples for sales
• Monitor the health of core business and performance of newly launched products using Nielsen
• Brief internal and external creative partners for the development and adaption of marketing assets including but not limited to campaign graphics, video assets, POS designs, flyer ads etc.
• Coordinate with printers and 3rd party warehouse to ensure on-time delivery and in-stock inventory of all sales support and visibility tools e.g. POS items, sales kits
• Work with media agency to develop and execute media plan with the optimum targeting, channel mix and durations to secure high ROI
• Select Influencers and write briefs for them to ensure compliant and on-brand messaging throughout different campaigns
• Be responsible for managing the allocated marketing budget through creation of purchase orders, timely booking of expenses and regular tracking
• Work with Technical Packaging counterpart and external agency to develop and rollout pre-loaded in-store floor units e.g. Half Pallets
• Liaise with regional counterparts on a need basis to leverage resources and cross-share data and insights to build strategies
What will make you successful?
• University degree in Business or Marketing
• A minimum of 3 years of marketing experience. CPG experience is strongly preferred.
• An understanding of product commercialization processes ideally within CPG
• Should be able to read and understand a P&L statement
• Must be able to work with strong ownership and attention to details
• Must be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment and deal with uncertainties
• Must possess excellent communication & story-telling skills
