Position Summary 


We are looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager, Starbucks at Home Coffee based at our North York Office reporting into the Marketing Manager, Starbucks At Home. In this role, you will work with a dynamic team to strengthen, evolve and grow the Starbucks portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a deep understanding of brand building, harness your strategic and executional prowess, and become an expert in the Coffee Category.

 

A day in the life of an Assistant Marketing Manager 

 

As Assistant Marketing Manager, you will be working on projects across the Starbucks at Home portfolio, with a focus on Starbucks by Nespresso. This role is a great opportunity to build strategic recommendations, support & develop a dynamic product range, commercialize product launches and drive communications, while supporting the overall health of the business. You will be working daily with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams locally and globally, with a high degree of autonomy and support to thrive.

 

You will also:

 

•    Manage packaging, pricing, promotional, merchandising and distribution strategies for the Starbucks by Nespresso range within the Starbucks A Home Portfolio.
•    Leverage brand, consumer and marketplace data to recommend marketing strategies and activities for the 18-month brand plan (aligned with the 3-year brand roadmap).
•    Manage end-to-end execution of key innovation & renovation projects, collaborating and influencing effectively across various stakeholders to execute with excellence.
o    Manage all launch related initiatives and communication, including research, packaging, product development, launch presentations and information to sales.
o    Collaborate on long-term (FEI) innovation pipeline, supporting assessment of new platforms for Canadian market.
•    Manage launch-specific communication planning and execution, working with internal and external agency partners.
o    Support creative/media briefing and plan development, ensuring alignment with brand guardrails and tracking of KPIs.
•    Provide fact-based analytical information to support consumer and customer initiatives and to drive portfolio profitability and growth.
•    Prepare and present monthly brand and competitive performance reviews using all available research and tools including Nielsen, to provide a complete understanding of category dynamics and business health.
•    Support lead team processes such as budget management and monthly priority status meetings.

Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as will be your ability to understand and work within our competitive market. You will also require:
•    University degree in Business or Marketing, and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    A minimum of 2 years of marketing experience required. CPG experience is strongly preferred. 
•    Field sales experience considered a strong asset.
•    Understanding of commercialization process within CPG with ability to leverage Nestlé processes, resources and environment.
•    Self-motivated, results focused with strong analytical skills and curiosity.
•    Entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinker.
•    Passionate to build and grow brands, with ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to challenge status quo.
•    Must be able to manage change and evolve in a fast-paced dynamic and matrix environment.
•    Proficient computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other MS applications.
•    Experience with Nielsen Analytics an asset.

Compensation Range: $70,000 – $85,000 CAD
