What to Expect: 

 

The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align search strategies with retail priorities, ensuring effective execution of promotional activities and seasonal events. Additionally, the role includes ownership of performance metrics and reporting, with a strong emphasis on achieving targets related to return on ad spend (ROAS), market share gains and sales performance.

The Retail Search Activation Sr Specialist reports directly to the eCommerce Director.

This position encompasses a geographical scope focused on all Nestle Canada (incl. NHS, IPW, Nutrition) categories and involves hands-on management of campaign activations, optimizations, and comprehensive reporting.

 

A day in the life:

 

The primary objective of the Retail Search Activation Sr Specialist is to lead the strategic activation and performance management of retailer search campaigns across major retail media networks in Canada. This role is pivotal in leveraging the Skai platform to optimize sponsored ads, ensuring that campaign strategies align with the broader business goals of driving sales growth, increasing market share, and maximizing return on ad spend (ROAS). The specialist will take ownership of campaign execution, utilizing data-driven insights to refine targeting, budget allocation, and performance reporting, ultimately contributing to the success of the Nestle Canada portfolio.

Preferred Skills

  • 4–7 years in retail media / retail search with hands-on execution responsibility.
  • Demonstratable outcomes of search budget ownership, campaign optimization cadence, and performance improvement.
  • Experience with Skai or Pacvue (Skai preferred).
  • Strong search performance analysis and storytelling.
  • Success in leveraging insights from multiple sources to help drive performance.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to act with speed.
  • Detail oriented, and strong interpersonal communication and organization skills.
  • Canadian retailer ecosystem knowledge
  • Understanding of retail fundamentals: price, availability, distribution, content quality, ratings/reviews.
  • Basic experimentation mindset

(incrementality thinking even when the platform doesn’t give “perfect” measurement).
