We're looking for a Regional leader: To be the regional champion for PRO PLAN Veterinary Communication, Partnership with KOLs and Education tools and materials, advancing the Pro Plan and PPVD brand advocacy in AOA region.
The incumbent will build internal & external awareness of PRO PLAN nutrition & scientific credentials, supporting PRO PLAN associates with education of the scientific and veterinary content including:
- Growing PRO PLAN level of veterinary recomendations and trust as well as demonstrating our strong commitment to the veterinary profession.
- Building a strong and sustainable veterinary KOL relationship and parnerships with vetrinary communities & universities in the region AOA on behalf PRO PLAN brand.
- Accelerate and amplify the Purina Institute assets externally within the regions, specifically in priority focused markets, to build trust in Purina and gain recognition for our science and expertise in pet nutrition.
A day in the life of a Veterinary Affairs and Science Manager...
- Accountable & Responsible for defining Veterinary communication strategy and plans that deliver improved PRO PLAN recommendation and trust level within Veterinary channel and growth of the PRO PLAN Megabrand in vet channel.
- Develop and execute PRO PLAN veterinary communication strategy with scientific materials in order to ensure that PRO PLAN key messages are delivered to targeted audience(veterinarians) via the right touchpoint, including developing and reviewing all flagship scientific materials.
- Responsible for defining and creating yearly plan of PRO PLAN offline & online (webinars) scentific events and KOL involvement and work with the brand and country sales technical / commercial team to support the organisation of scientific events to strengthen and reinforce PRO PLAN positioning. Be the NPP scientific communication expert representing scientific image by being NPP speaker for vet event/seminar and support flagship brands related activities upon market request. (Intensive travel in the region).
- Develop and execute PRO PLAN strategy behind case studies and clinical trials engagement in AOA region. Assess benefits of entering into partnerships with specific KOL to build case studies and clinical trials in strengthening PRO PLAN brand awareness and recomendation level among vets.
- Responsible for veterinary digital tools development and usage: PRO PLAN Vet Center content creation, management and amplifying across markets
- Manage relationships on behalf of PRO PLAN to specified veterinary KOLs and build strategic alliances in the region. KOLs in question are defined as having international reach and influence within veterinary communities (inc. assosiations, universities and etc). Map KOL within AOA and build long-term partnership and action plan to ensure PRO PLAN recomendation and trust level increase within Zone AOA
- Promote awareness of The Purina Institute by representing key regional scientificveterinary events within region. This includes full, overarching management and onsite responsibility (i.e., scientific programme, logistics, etc.), potentially in partnership with a 3rd party conference management company for support. Be a champion and steward the activation of Purina Institute brand communication standards (ii) facilitate the use of content produced by the Purina Institute (iii) provide input into the global Purina Institute Communications Calendar and communicate back the Institute's commitments.
- Responsible for nutritional and product knowledge training, both internal and external audiences i.e. in-clinic training for PRO PLAN Megabrand products (Well pet, Veterinary diets, veterinary supplements)

- DVM - veterinary education required
- 8+ years business experience, including marketing and communications (in petfood related industry)
- Knowledge and skills to build brand in the veterinary channel
- Great interpersonal and presentation skill.
- Has knowledge/understanding about AOA vet environment is a plus
- Regional expereince would be an added advantage
