We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in data analytics and reporting systems to lead key initiatives across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with advanced technical skills to develop enterprise reporting templates, automate data workflows, and collaborate with IT on system enhancements and issue resolution. The Senior Analyst will also play a critical role in enabling the broader business through training on datasets, reporting tools, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership:

  • Collaborate and influence with key stakeholders in Sales, Brand, Digital Marketing, Finance, and IT to gather business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and define successful analytics outcomes.
  • Lead planning and execution phases, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to meet business objectives.

Power BI Development Expert:

  • Design, build, and maintain standardized Power BI templates and dashboards to support enterprise reporting needs.
  • Ensure consistency in data visualization best practices and scalability of reporting solutions.
  • Define standards and procedures for best practices for business intelligence design & development.

Automation Leadership:

  • Identify opportunities to automate data cleansing, transformation, and reporting workflows using Power Automate and other tools like Python to improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
  • Implement and maintain automation pipelines in collaboration with IT and business users.

Issue Resolution Ownership:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving data issues in collaboration with IT and third-party vendors.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting system reliability and performance.

Data Quality and Governance:

  • Improve processes related to data flow, quality, and governance to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs.
  • Write data unit tests and establish quality assurance protocols for key transformations.

Training and Enablement:

  • Responsible for managing and providing guidance and leadership related to analytics to a community of business users and analysts.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to business users and analysts on datasets, Power BI tools, and reporting best practices.
  • Create user guides, documentation, and knowledge-sharing materials to promote self-service analytics and drive adoption.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Actively engage with cross-functional teams to ensure data systems and reporting solutions align with operational needs.
  • Provide strategic advice on technology enhancements that support business objectives and user experience.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the understanding and application of NPS’s data and analytics.

Solution Analysis:

  • Define technical requirements and user stories with a comprehensive understanding of business operations.
  • Drive innovation by recommending improvements to existing systems and processes.

Project and Data Management:

  • Contextualize and Democratize the NPS data assets through the data catalog
  • Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring deliverables align with business priorities and are delivered on-time and within budget.
  • Manage and update the enterprise data catalog to enhance accessibility and usability of key data assets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical systems analysis, business intelligence, or reporting roles.

  • Proven experience independently managing complex projects across data systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M language), and deployment of standardized templates and dashboards.
  • Experience automating processes using Power Automate (or similar Microsoft-based automation tools).
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, and data analysis tools such as Excel and Google Analytics is a plus.

Leadership Traits:

  • Strong ability to train and coach business users and junior analysts on data systems, datasets, and reporting tools.
  • Experience building cross-functional relationships to drive adoption of analytics and reporting best practices.
  • Knowledge of data analysis/tools and data modeling techniques with the ability to proactively identify and share trends from the data to make informed recommendations. Experience using Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) applications a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

 

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
