Position Summary

 

The Director of Digital Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that encompasses ecommerce, content, design, and media, all aligned with our business objectives for the b2b foodservice division. This role will oversee the optimization of e-commerce platforms, enhance user experience across all digital owned and earned channels, and influence customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. The Director will lead a high-performing team of digital marketing experts, manage relationships with both external and internal agencies, and collaborate cross-functionally with global digital and e-commerce teams to ensure the integration and best practices of digital marketing initiatives across the business. 

 

Key Reponsibilities

 

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing and ecommerce strategy tailored to b2b and food service industry, with a focus on acquisition, engagement, and retention. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and KPIs.
  • Utilize research and analytics to build data driven storytelling and insights to deliver a customer first approach.
  • Create and present strategic deliverables, such as personas, journey maps, value propositions, and roadmaps for improved customer experience.
  • Manage the short-term deliverables and build a long-term vision  to enhance user experience and streamline the ordering process of an ecommerce website.
  • Stay at the forefront of digital trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to innovate and enhance the customer experience in collaboration with Digital IT team.  
  • Communicate digital strategies, goals, and performance metrics to key stakeholders, including executive leadership, global/regional partners. 
  • Serve as a thought leader within the organization, and on distributor conversations driving digital transformation and innovation. 
  • Develop and manage the digital marketing budget, monitoring and optimizing spend across channels to maximize ROI and ensure efficient use of resources.

 

Team Development & Cross- functional Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of digital marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Work cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, IT, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment of digital and ecommerce strategies.
  • Remain knowledgeable of foodservice and b2b trends to ensure the organization is leveraging best practices and staying ahead of industry shifts.  
  • Act as a digital advocate, driving transformation and innovation within the organization and through collaboration with global and regional Nestle digital & ecommerce teams.

 

Digital Marketing, Websites & Campaigns

  • Oversee the creation and implementation of data-driven, integrated digital marketing campaigns to support multiple brands via our owned, retailer and distributor platforms.  
  • Build end to end customer experience driven marketing models that include marketing automation, data driven insights, social media, website and paid advertising. 
  • Ensure all digital marketing initiatives are compliant and of Nestle Global standards.
  • Utilize customer insights and performance metrics to continuously refine and enhance the digital strategy

 

Digital Content

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop impactful content strategies (trend reports, webinars, email campaigns, videos, etc.) tailored to key customer journeys.
  • Lead the digital shelf strategy and team to support enhanced best in class product information of the future, leveraging AI and automation.
  • Support and enable design capabilities for internal customers.
     

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or a similar field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success in digital media and e-commerce strategy execution.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, e-commerce platforms, and web/mobile development.
  • Proficient in content syndication tools, PIM (Product Information Management), CMS (Content Management Systems), and digital experience platforms (DXPs) 
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and experience optimizing digital experiences for B2B customers, particularly in a service-oriented and eCommerce context 
  • Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and using data to drive insights and performance optimization for both products and services 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights via strategic story telling.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of the foodservice industry or b2b is a plus but not necessary
