Position Summary

We’re driven by our goal to elevate the importance of our pet food categories with each of our retailers, leading to our larger mission to enrich the lives of pets and the people who love them. Nestlé Purina’s Market Development Organization (MDO) is what we call our hub of business excellence across Shopper Innovation & Category Leadership, Market Development, Strategic Revenue Management and Shopper Marketing—the team that guides category and share growth through insight-driven strategies and proactive solutions. In its position between our Marketing and Sales organizations, MDO speaks the language of both. We’re guided by deep research, innovative science, and rich customer feedback; and we’re inspired by creating cutting-edge solutions to push the pet care industry further.

As a Shopper Innovation and Experience Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our Category UX capabilities, driving retailer engagement, and enhancing commercial applications through design-led innovation. This role builds on the momentum established by the LAB9 Connected Commerce Center and recent successes with key retailers such as Meijer, PetSmart, Kroger, DG, HEB, Target, and Amazon. It will support both the Shopper Innovation & Experience and Category Leadership COE teams.

  • Manage overall content strategy and device programming for the LAB9 Connected Commerce Center to deliver tailored retailer and Nestlé Purina (NP) specific experiences
  • Establish UX as a foundational capability for commercial category leadership and innovation by developing strategies that leverage NP insights and best practices, such as the Connected Commerce Assessment Tool.
  • Lead agile processes including UX/Solution Sprints and Connected Commerce Missions, ensuring rapid iteration and impactful solution development that aligns with business objectives
  • Co-lead Digital Days and strategic planning sessions with Sales and eCommerce teams, design and deliver innovative UX solutions for LAB9 engagements—including immersive commerce, category elevation, and brand micro-site experiences—and influence retailer digital roadmaps and priorities through design thinking and category expertise

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably within retail, eCommerce, or category leadership environments

The approximate pay range for this position is $129,000 to $140,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
