POSITION SUMMARY
Drives the Category Sales Development agenda for NN (Nestlé Nutrition) portfolio, to achieve sustainable sales growth in Key Channels in the markets aligned to the business objectives.
Takes responsibility for developing the Channel Strategy, in line with the Consumer marketing strategy developed, as applicable to various channels. Works closely with the Business Development Managers and Distributor Teams (NCI - Nestlé Caribbean Incorporated) to ensure flawless on-time execution of the category plans to drive business performance results. Evaluates investments made on key activities for the assigned categories, leveraging cross-functional efficiencies and value-chain (e.g. Field Sales, Finance, P2P, Brand Activation Team and Supply Chain).
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
- Develop and execute the commercial strategy aligned with the regional marketing to support the development team in achieving NN sales objectives, defining prices, volumes, and promotions.
- Foster shopper knowledge through continuous analysis of behavior and market trends, segmenting categories according to consumer needs.
- Collaborate with marketing and development teams to create an effective category strategy and a commercial activity calendar that generates demand and accelerates sales
- Design category activation plans and strategic presentations for the sales team, ensuring the proper execution of promotions and activities.
- Participate in the MBP process to ensure product availability and monitor regulations and competitors that may affect the business.
- Coordinate regular meetings to evaluate performance against established KPIs.
- Work closely with Trade Marketing Managers and Business Development Managers to develop a compelling customer-facing Category strategy, to leverage strong Joint Business Planning negotiations (and Category Management, Space Allocations in-store, etc.), based on sound category data and trends.
WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL
- First Degree: Bsc. in Social Sciences.
- Master's: in Management Studies would be an asset.
- At least 5 years commercial experience.
- Previous experience in Sales and Marketing - Demonstrable record of success in a customer facing role.
- Understands customers and the selling process.
- Understands key business functions.
- Forecasting is necessary.
- Process and Results Oriented.
- Strong compliance and commercial capabilities.
- Excellent communication abilities.
