Position Summary 

 

We’re looking for a Global Head of Design to lead Design Excellence across Nestlé and shape how our brands show up visually, experientially, and emotionally for millions of consumers worldwide. You will define the Nestlé Design Vision, ensuring our brands remain distinctive, contemporary, and culturally relevant.

Sitting at the intersection of Brand Strategy, Innovation, Technology, and Creativity, you will embed design as a core business driver—strengthening trust, relevance, and value. Your mission is to build a world‑class design ecosystem, elevate governance and standards, and unlock a new era of design‑led growth for Nestlé.

 

A Day in the Life of a Global Head of Design

 

  • Lead the global design vision, influencing how our brands show up worldwide
  • Drive the transformation of Design Excellence, raising creative and operational standards
  • Shape identity, packaging, and multisensory design systems that bring brand strategy to life
  • Partner with senior leaders to guide “high impact” design decisions
  • Collaborate with Group Marketing, regional teams, and senior leaders to ensure design strategy alignment
  • Equip agency partners with the clarity and tools needed for breakthrough work
  • Mentor Brand Design Leads and foster a connected global design community
  • Oversee design operationalization to ensure consistency and scalability across markets
  • Push forward innovation in brand experience through digital and AI enabled‑ approaches

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Academic background in Design or a related field
  • Significant FMCG or agency experience shaping global brand identity and packaging
  • Proven leadership across teams, partners, and complex global ecosystems
  • Strong exposure to Implementing design governance and best-practice processes, leveraging expertise in design systems, guidelines, and scalable brand architectures
  • Strong communication skills - collaborative, influential, and skilled in facilitating cross functional‑ alignment with senior leadership.
  • Fluency in English; other languages are considered beneficial in this global role
